---- — PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman was charged Sunday with grand larceny after she stole a purse, police said.
Rosalia Cabrera, 25, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and was released on a court appearance ticket, Plattsburgh City Police said.
A woman reported her purse was stolen off a chair she had placed it on in the waiting room the CVPH Medical Center’s Fast Track, police said.
Cabrera had been visiting a friend in the hospital when she took the purse, police said.
Investigation lead police to Bushey Boulevard at about 10 p.m. where they interviewed Cabrera’s friend who said she did not have any knowledge of the crime or Cabrera’s whereabouts, police said.
Officers noticed the door to the bathroom was locked and found Cabrera hiding inside, police said.
Cabrera was identified on the hospital’s surveillance video as the woman who had taken the purse, police said.
