PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged with criminal mischief Saturday.
Plattsburgh City Police officers were called to the Green Room bar on Bridge Street in Plattsburgh for a report of a male who had done damage to a glass door at the bar, Plattsburgh City Police said.
Andrew Price, 22, was asked to leave the Green Room because he was highly intoxicated and had expressed a desire to begin a relationship with the girlfriend of one of the bar employees, police said.
On the way out of the bar, Price intentionally hit a glass door, causing it to crack, forming a spiderweb pattern in the glass, police said.
A man pointed Price out to police and officers stopped him as he was walking on Clinton Street, police said.
They arrested him shortly before 1 a.m., police said.
The glass door is valued at an estimated $400, police said.
He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.
Price was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Plattsburgh City Court on Oct. 15.
