PLATTSBURGH — A Lake Placid woman involved in a one-car rollover accident in the Town of AuSable was in stable condition at CVPH Medical Center Sunday.
Trudy B. Silver, 47, was transported to the hospital Thursday with complaints of chest and abdominal pain following the crash, which was reported at 4:30 p.m., State Police Troop B Public Information Officer Trooper Jennifer Fleishman told the Press-Republican last week.
According to police, Silver was driving a Lincoln MKX four-door sedan southbound on Clintonville Road/County Route 39 when she lost control of the vehicle, crossed into the opposite lane of traffic, drove off the road and struck a tree.
Two passengers, Bert C. Lawrence, 43, of Lake Placid, and a 15-year-old boy who police declined to identify, were also transported to CVPH for treatment of injuries.
Lawrence has since been discharged, according to hospital personnel.
The teen, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, Fleishman said, complained of pain to his left leg and was later transferred to Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt., for further treatment.
Silver is being charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated; aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, a felony in accordance with Leandra’s Law; and second-degree vehicular assault, also a felony.
In addition, she faces charges for the following infractions: consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, having a passenger between the ages of 7 and 15 who was not wearing a seat belt, unsafe speed, moving from a lane unsafely, and failure to keep right.
