PLATTSBURGH — A North Bangor man was charged Tuesday with weapon possession.
Jordon A. Crandall, 28, was found in possession of a Smith & Wesson semi-automatic rifle with a 25 round detachable magazine, according to a news release from State Police.
The rifle had a pistol grip and telescoping stock, police said, and the model has been banned from New York state since August 8, 2000.
Crandall was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony.
He was arraigned in Plattsburgh Town Court and released on his own recognizance to reappear at a later date.
