PLATTSBURGH — A Peru man was injured Jan. 4 in a two-car accident.
Shortly before 2:44 p.m., Taunya F. Duell, 42, of Jay was driving a 2014 Jeep on Route 3 in the Town of Plattsburgh and was making a left-hand turn onto Hammond Lane through a green traffic-arrow signal when a 1995 Toyota driven by Katelyn M. Jenkins, 18, of Cadyville failed to yield to the right of way and went through the intersection, striking the passenger side door of Duell’s car, State Police said.
John Wever, 85, a passenger in Duell’s vehicle, was taken to CVPH Medical Center after he complained of chest pain, police said.
Jenkins was ticketed for failure to yield to the right of way.
