PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man faces charges after an alleged assault at Champlain Valley Educational Services.
Cason A. Blanks, 18, was arrested for his involvement in an altercation at the school that left another student with injuries to his neck, according to Plattsburgh-based State Police.
An officer responded to a call at the school at about 9:33 a.m. Sept. 25 for a student on student assault.
Police reports describe that Blanks was acting out of control and choking another student in the hallway.
He was taken into custody and charged with second-degree strangulation, a felony. Blanks was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
He was arraigned on the City of Plattsburgh Court and was given a pre-trial release. An order of protection was also issued at the hearing, police said.
Blanks was due back in court late last week.
