AUSABLE — An AuSable man was charged July 27 with drunken driving after he crashed his car, police said.
Shortly before 1:46 a.m., Joseph C. Dubay was driving from AuSable Forks to Keeseville on Route 9N when his vehicle went off the right shoulder, broke guide cables and continued into a ravine, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.
Dubay was taken to CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh for treatment of a contusion to his right eye, police said.
Upon his release from CVPH, he was charged with first-offense DWI, a misdemeanor; unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation; moving from lane unsafely, a violation; and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle, an infraction.
Dubay was released on an appearance ticket for Aug. 7 in AuSable Town Court.
