TUPPER LAKE — Police arrested a Tupper Lake man Sunday night after he allegedly drove off the road while under the influence of alcohol.
Tupper Lake-based State Police were patrolling Route 3 at about 9:15 p.m. when they spotted Guildor Lizotte’s vehicle in a ditch.
Lizotte, 71, was uninjured and still with the vehicle when troopers arrived and reportedly found him to be intoxicated.
Lizotte, who was convicted of driving-while-intoxicated within the previous 10 years, was arrested for felony DWI and subsequently released from custody on cash bail, troopers said Monday.
He will reappear in Tupper Lake Town Court next month to face the allegations.
