BURKE — A Malone woman was injured in a one-car accident Dec. 19.
Jessica S. Frigerio, 28, was traveling north on Montgomery Road in the Town of Burke shortly before 9:16 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle on icy, snow-covered roads, according to Malone-based State Police.
Frigerio’s vehicle crossed to the west shoulder and drove into a cornfield, police said.
Frigerio may have suffered a head injury and was transported to Alice Hyde Medical Center. Alice Hyde declined to release Frigerio’s condition.
She was ticketed for driving at an unsafe speed and for unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
BURKE — A Burke teen was injured in a one-car accident Dec. 17.
Emily Mary Friend, 17, was traveling southeast on Spencer Road near State Route 11 in the Town of Burke shortly before 8:30 a.m. when she met an oncoming uninvolved vehicle and lost control of her vehicle, Malone-based State Police said.
Friend’s vehicle exited the east shoulder of the roadway and rolled over, landing back on its wheels in an upright position, police said.
Friend complained of neck pain and was transported to Alice Hyde Medical Center for treatment, police said. Alice Hyde declined to release Friend’s condition.
She was ticketed for driving at an unsafe speed, police said.
BANGOR — A Dickinson Center teen was injured in a one-car accident Dec. 8.
Alexis S. Chapman, 17, was traveling south on Taylor Road near its intersection with State Route 11B in the Town of Bangor shortly before 11 a.m. when she swerved her vehicle to avoid hitting a deer, according to Malone-based State Police.
Chapman’s vehicle then drove into a concrete bridge wall causing extensive damage to the front end of the car and also causing it to catch on fire, police said.
