PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman was charged Oct. 9 with grand larceny and criminal mischief.
Catherine L. Collette, 47, stole about $1,282 worth of electronic items from Wal-Mart in Plattsburgh, said State Police Troop B Public Information Officer Trooper Jennifer Fleishman.
In the process of stealing the items, Collette damaged a number of security devices that were attached to the items, Fleishman said.
The incident was reported to State Police on Oct. 9, the same day Collette was arrested, according to a State Police blotter entry.
Collette was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
She was arraigned in Plattsburgh Town Court and was released on her own recognizance to reappear in court at a later date.
