6 jurors seated for trooper trial

PLATTSBURGH — Six jurors had been selected for State Police Trooper Trevor J. Donah’s rape trial at the close of Clinton County Court proceedings Thursday.

Donah, 33, of Plattsburgh faces charges of first-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse, both felonies, and five misdemeanors: two counts of third-degree assault, two counts of criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and one charge of second-degree unlawful imprisonment.

He was found not guilty of attempted rape and other charges in a trial in November 2013 involving a former girlfriend.

This is the second trial in an expected series of three, each one involving a different woman who was known to Donah at the time of the alleged crimes.

Jury selection is to resume at 9:30 a.m. today.
