CHAMPLAIN — A West Chazy woman sustained minor injuries in a one-car accident Friday.
Shortly before 2:50 p.m., Tasha Porter, 25, was driving north on Route 9 in Champlain about a quarter mile north of Sarachon Road when she exited the west shoulder, striking a tree, State Police reported.
She told police that her daughter, Lillian Borrie, of West Chazy, had been screaming about a bee in the car from the back seat.
Porter reached into the back seat to assess the situation, causing her 2011 Kia sedan to go off the road, police said.
She sustained minor scrapes and a bloody nose from airbag deployment but was not transported.
Borrie, who is 4 years old, was unharmed.
Porter was ticketed for not having a child in a car seat and failure to keep right.
She was also driving with a suspended license, police said.
