BEEKMANTOWN — A Keeseville man was charged with violation of probation, a felony, on July 1.
At about 1:40 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies observed a man on a bicycle in dark clothing traveling north in the southbound lane on State Route 22 in Beekmantown, a Clinton County Sheriffs Office news release said.
When the deputies tried to stop the man, he fled a short distance toward a nearby residence.
The deputies located him in the bushes in front of the residence and identified him as Scott Waldron, Jr., who they knew to have an active warrant for his arrest for violation of probation, the release said.
Deputies made the arrest at 1:46 a.m.
Waldron was committed to Clinton County Correctional to await his arraignment in the next scheduled session of the Clinton County Supreme Court.
