TICONDEROGA — A Ticonderoga sex offender was charged with failing to report a change of address.
Robert Chenier, 33, was released from prison on June 13, according to a news release from the Town of Ticonderoga Police Department.
He served time for a 2012 assault in Ticonderoga, which involved a knife, police said in the release.
Chenier was charged with failing to report a change of address, a felony.
He was taken to Essex County Jail to await arraignment in Ticonderoga Town Court.
The investigation was a joint effort between the Town of Ticonderoga Police Department and the New York State Division of Parole.
