PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged Tuesday in connection with Workers’ Compensation fraud.
It is alleged that Kevin J. Labombard, 49, continued to work as a property maintenance employee without reporting to the New York State Insurance Fraud, thereby receiving Workers’ Compensation benefits to which he was not entitled, according to a news release from the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office.
Labombard was charged Tuesday morning with committing a fraudulent practice, a felony.
He was arraigned in Champlain Town Court before Justice John Favreau and was sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond, the DA’s Office said in the release.
Labombard is scheduled to appear in Plattsburgh City Court at 10 a.m. today.
Clinton County Assistant District Attorney Jason Marx will prosecute the case.
The DA’s office has an anonymous tip line to report any type of revenue fraud at their website, www.clintoncountyda.com.
