CHESTERFIELD — A Keeseville man was arrested after allegedly driving without a license.
State Police said a trooper attempted to pull over Douglas E. Cherrier, 40, around 7:30 a.m. March 3 for driving on Chesterfield Street without a license.
Police said after a pursuit, Cherrier resisted arrest.
He was charged with felony assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon.
He was also charged with misdemeanors for resisting arrest, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and two infractions for failure to obey a police officer and unsafe movement of a stopped motor vehicle.
Cherrier was arraigned in Chesterfield Town Court and released on $5,000 cash bail.
His next court date is 5 p.m. March 26.
