MALONE — One person was injured in a three-car accident July 16.
At 2:23 p.m., Mandy M. Filion, 34, of Burke, was traveling northeast on Route 11 when she failed to observe a vehicle driven by Perry W. Tucker, 55, of Burke, slowing for another uninvolved vehicle in the same lane that was waiting to turn, Malone-based State Police said.
Filion struck the rear of Tucker’s vehicle, which was subsequently pushed into the opposing lane in front of a vehicle headed southwest, driven by Lise A. Safford, 49, of Malone, police said.
Safford’s vehicle spun clockwise, coming to rest facing south, while Filion’s vehicle exited the roadway and Tucker’s vehicle was pushed back into the lane headed northeast, coming to rest against Filion’s vehicle, police said.
Safford was transported to Alice Hyde Medical Center for neck and back pain, and Filion was ticketed for following too closely, police said.
