Police Log: July 23, 2013 — Felony arrest

PLATTSBURGH — A man was arrested after allegedly threatening a woman with a pair of scissors, according to Plattsburgh City Police.

Daniel Dapo Sr., 52, of Plattsburgh was arrested at 9:25 p.m. Sunday.

According to City Police, Dapo claimed that the woman in question was not his girlfriend, while she claimed that she was his girlfriend.

City Police also said that she texted a message for help while he was threatening her. 

Dapo Sr. was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, as well as with two misdemeanors: second-degree menacing and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.

He was arraigned in City Court and sent to jail without bail.
