CHAMPLAIN — A Colorado fugitive wanted for failure to appear on marijuana distribution charges was arrested July 9.
Joseph B. Upshaw, 24, of Colorado Springs, Colo., was wanted out of the El Paso County Sherriff’s Department in Colorado, Chazy State Police said.
After being deported out of Canada, Upshaw was picked up at the Champlain Port of Entry, and U.S. Marshals turned him over to State Police, police said.
He was arraigned before the Town of Champlain Court and is now held at Clinton County Jail, pending a county court hearing, as the extradition is still pending, police said.
No further information was available.
