PLATTSBURGH — A Keeseville woman was charged with grand larceny and criminal mischief Friday.
City Police received a call from employees of the Department of Social Services who were aware that there was a Family Court arrest warrant for a woman who was in their building, Plattsburgh City Police said.
Officers arrested Stephanie Sweeney, 21, at 2:45 p.m. that day.
A Plattsburgh City Police detective had information that Sweeney had cut off and thrown away an ankle bracelet that the court had issued to her to monitor her location and alcohol consumption, police said.
Sweeney was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony; fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, and second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.
