MALONE — Two people were injured Monday when their vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision on Route 11B.
Barry Collins, 61, of Malone was making a right-hand turn off Route 11 onto McGillic Road at about 1:15 p.m. when the vehicle behind him operated by Christine M. Rousell, 26, of North Bangor, crashed into him, Malone-based State Police said.
The impact spun Collins’s vehicle around and forced it into a National Grid utility pole, and Rousell’s vehicle continued on and struck an electric fence, police said.
Both were taken to Alice Hyde Medical Center, where they were treated for head injuries, police said.
They were released after treatment, according to the hospital’s communications office.
Troopers said Rousell was ticketed for following too closely and is to appear in Malone Town Court.
