KEESEVILLE — A Keeseville man was seriously injured in a two-car accident Wednesday.
Shortly after 5 p.m., Chazy-based State Police were dispatched to a car crash at the intersection of Route 9 and Chasm Road, State Police said.
Ronald H. Lahart, 60, was traveling northbound on Route 9 in an Oldsmobile Silhouette van and James W. Taylor, 49, of Keeseville was driving southbound in a Mercury Grand Marquis, police said, when the two cars collided.
Although the cause of the crash is still under investigation, police believe Lahart was turning left onto Chasm Road at the time of the accident.
Lahart’s injuries were serious but not life threatening, police said. He was transported by Keeseville EMS to CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh for treatment.
Taylor was uninjured but his 9-year-old daughter was taken to CVPH for evaluation as a precaution, police said.
Keeseville Fire Police directed traffic around the crash site, police said.
Tickets are pending, police said.
