---- — SCHUYLER FALLS — A Peru man was arrested Dec. 13 for forging checks, police said.
Jason D. Morrow, 32, allegedly forged and cashed two checks written from his grandmother’s account in September 2012 and one check in October 2012, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.
The checks were for $200, $220 and $150 and were made out to Rock’s Grocery Store in Schuyler Falls, police said.
Morrow was incarcerated in Clinton County Jail on family court matters when he was arrested Dec. 13 and charged with three counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
Morrow was arraigned in Schuyler Falls Town Court and returned to jail, police said.
He was released from the Clinton County Jail on Dec. 28 following family court sentencing, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
