PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman was taken to the hospital after she was struck by a pickup truck while crossing Bridge Street Thursday afternoon.
At 4:08 p.m., David Betrus, 39, of Plattsburgh was stopped in his 2011 Toyota pickup truck at City Hall Place at Bridge Street facing south, when he attempted to make a left turn and struck Becky L. Miller, 42, who had walked four or five steps into the crosswalk, said Lt. Scott Beebie of the Plattsburgh City Police.
Miller complained of pain in her hip and upper leg and was taken to CVPH Medical Center by Plattsburgh City Fire Department ambulance, Beebie said.
Miller was treated and released.
Betrus was ticketed for failing to yield to the right of way at an intersection.
