PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman was charged with criminal contempt and stolen property possession Jan. 17.
Velma Bellarosa, 49, and her ex-boyfriend are both subject to orders of protection preventing them from contacting each other, Plattsburgh City Police said.
Bellarosa contacted her ex saying she wanted to talk to him and went to a residence on Bridge Street to speak with him, police said.
He answered the door and pushed Bellarosa back out the door and she pushed back on the door, breaking the door frame and hinges, police said.
She was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
She was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash or $4,000 bond.
