MALONE — Two Rouses Point men and a Plattsburgh man were charged with felony grand larceny December, 2013.
Michael T. Hart, 20, and Alexander B. Chefan, 25, both of Rouses Point, and Seth J. Kelly, 26, of Plattsburgh, allegedly stole multiple electronic items from Wal-Mart Dec. 16, including two computers, a printer ink cartridge, car speakers and video games, according to State Police.
Police said the men involved in the $1,200 theft remained unidentified until Dec. 23 when they returned to the store and the Loss Prevention department contacted police.
Hart was found to be in possession of a tool used to disable the alarm system on the computers, police said.
They were each charged with one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, for their alleged involvement on Dec. 16, and one count of fifth-degree conspiracy, a misdemeanor, for their intent to steal on Dec. 23.
Hart was also charged with possession of a burglar tool, a misdemeanor.
They were all arraigned in Town of Malone Court. Chefan and Kelly were released to the supervision of the Franklin County Probation Department, to return to court Jan. 7.
Hart was remanded to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond, to return to court Jan. 7.
