SARANAC LAKE — A Saranac Lake man was arrested for falsifying business records Thursday evening.
Nathan J. Desharnais, 27, allegedly checked into and signed out of the Adirondack Medical Center with a false name, Ray Brook-based State Police said.
Desharnais gave false information in order to avoid payment obligations for medical services he received, police said.
A nursing supervisor reported him as a suspicious person after he left the medical center, police said.
Desharnais was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, and falsifying business records in the first degree, a felony.
No further information was available.
