PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman who was allegedly driving drunk hit a parked car and was injured Feb. 19.
Janet Labombard, 77, was traveling northbound on Beekman Street in the City of Plattsburgh at about 6:09 p.m. when her vehicle drifted to the right and hit the rear left side of a parked 2006 Subaru, said Plattsburgh City Police Lt. Scott Beebie.
Labombard’s car rolled and came to rest on the driver’s side, he said. Because of the way the vehicle was positioned, Labombard was unable to climb out of it, although her movement inside the vehicle was not restricted, Beebie said.
Plattsburgh District 3 Fire Department assisted in removing Labombard from her car, Beebie said.
She was taken to CVPH Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, he said.
Labombard was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and unsafe lane movement, a violation.
