PLATTSBURGH — A Vermont man was charged March 25 with conspiracy in connection with a Dec. 2013 gang assault, police said.
In December 2013, Joseph Strong, 33, lured a man to an apartment on Montcalm Avenue and locked the door so three other men could beat the victim with a wooden rod, Plattsburgh City Police said.
Strong had fled the area following the crime, police said.
He was charged with fourth-degree conspiracy, a felony.
Strong was arraigned and taken to Clinton County Jail where he remained Wednesday in lieu of $50,000 cash or $10,000 bond, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
