PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged with felony drunken driving March 1.
At about 2 a.m., Michael Austin, 47, pulled out of the Seth Square parking lot in Plattsburgh onto Margaret Street and traveled briefly before turning quickly into the McDonald’s parking lot, Plattsburgh City Police said.
An officer stopped him, detected an odor of alcohol on Austin and asked him to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said.
He was charged with felony DWI with a conviction in the past 10 years, a felony, and unsafe lane movement, a violation.
Austin was released to a third party on a pre-arraignment bail of $500, police said.
