PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged Saturday with felony driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of a weapon.
Plattsburgh City Police stopped Matthew Devins, 27, around 3:40 a.m for driving his 2007 Chevy Malibu the wrong direction down Court Street, Plattsburgh City Police said.
He appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, police said, and was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Devins was also found to be in possession of a pistol without a permit and a large knife, police said.
He was arraigned before Plattsburgh City Court Judge Mark Rogers and was sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond.
He will reappear in court at a future date.
