PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged Wednesday with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
Plattsburgh City Police said Brendan Moore, 27, of Plattsburgh allegedly stole a 2012 Dodge Caravan that was in a driveway on Palmer Street in the City of Plattsburgh.
The car was running at the time, police said.
Moore was arrested at about 12:50 p.m. on Broad Street a short time after the vehicle was reported stolen, police said.
The car contained a woman’s purse containing her credit cards and other personal documents, police said.
Moore was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, both felonies.
He was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court on Wednesday, police said, and he was taken to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash or $4,000 bond.
