PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man incurred multiple charges Wednesday for allegedly driving his young daughter to school while under the influence of drugs, police said.
Employees at Momot Elementary School called City Police after they observed Larry Senecal Jr., 47, dropping off his 4-year-old daughter at the school and suspected something was wrong, police said.
A drug recognition expert determined that Senecal was under the influence of prescription drugs and marijuana, police said.
He admitted to police that he had been driving, police said.
Plattsburgh City Police arrested Senecal on Monty Street in the City of Plattsburgh at about 1:30 p.m.
He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a felony; driving while intoxicated, a felony; ability impaired by drugs, a felony; endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor; not having a child secured in a car seat, an infraction; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Senecal was taken to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
No further information was available Thursday.
