Police Log: May 1, 2013 — Update

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man is serving time in prison after he was convicted of two burglary charges.

In July of 2012, JayQuan D. Quick, now 21, was convicted of second-degree burglary and third-degree burglary, both felonies.

He was received into the custody of Five Points Correctional Facility in Romulus, N.Y. on July 24, 2012.

According to prison records, Quick will serve a minimum of seven years, eight months and a maximum of nine years in state prison.

Quick is eligible for parole in October of 2019.

He was originally charged in connection with five separate burglaries. Plattsburgh City Police said they found property that had been reported stolen in Quick’s Couch Street apartment.
