PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh pedestrian was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday.
Alison Armstrong-Zantana told police she was walking east on the south side of New York Road in the City of Plattsburgh and was beginning to cross the driveway of the entrance into Glens Falls National Bank at about 4:20 p.m. when a car came from her right and struck her right side, Plattsburgh City Police said.
Armstrong-Zantana said she fell onto the front end of the vehicle and then to the ground, police said.
The driver of the vehicle that hit Armstrong-Zantana, Donna M. Fessette, 57, of Plattsburgh, said she was exiting the bank’s parking lot onto New York Road and could not see Armstrong-Zantana and continued through the exit and struck her, police said.
Armstrong-Zantana was taken to CVPH Medical Center after she complained of shoulder pain, police said.
Fessette was cited for failure to yield to the right of walk of a pedestrian at a crosswalk.
