PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman was arrested for allegedly possessing stolen items from K-mart.
Heather L. Calkins, 25, was an employee at K-Mart when several items, including jewelry, clothing and cosmetics, went missing from the store, according to Plattsburgh-based State Police.
Following an investigation and an interview with the store’s loss prevention officer, police said Calkins admitted to having the items at her Tyrell Avenue home.
She was taken into custody at about 12:10 a.m. Oct. 21 and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property valued at over $1,000, a felony, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny, both misdemeanors.
Calkins was arraigned in the Town of Plattsburgh Court and issued an appearance ticket for a future court date.
