PLATTSBURGH — A Peru man was arrested for alleged felony DWI.
William J. Duprey, 40, was taken into custody at about 10:10 p.m. Oct. 6 on Military Turnpike near Rugar Street after Plattsburgh-based State Police said he was driving without headlights.
Upon further investigation, police said Duprey allegedly appeared intoxicated and was later arrested.
He was charged with DWI with a previous conviction within 10 years and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both felonies.
Duprey was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and issued an infraction for operating without headlights.
He was arraigned in the Town of Plattsburgh Court and released on an appearance ticket, according to police report.
