CLINTON — Two people were injured in a three-car accident Wednesday.
At about 6:30 p.m., on Route 11 west of Campbell Road in the Town of Clinton, Bonnielou Fish of Malone slowed her vehicle to avoid hitting a deer and her vehicle was struck from behind by a car driven by Lonny Wood, 33, of Fort Covington, according to a news release from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
A third vehicle, driven by Kyle Rivers of Mooers, was damaged when the deer ran into it, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Two of Wood’s passengers, Tessa Wood, 32, and a 6-year-old child, were taken to Alice Hyde Medical Center for treatment.
Mr. Wood was cited for following too closely and for having a back-seat passenger between the ages of 4 and 7 without proper safety restraint, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Wood is scheduled to appear in Clinton Town Court on Nov. 19.
No further information was available.
