PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged Tuesday with five counts each of grand larceny and petit larceny.
Scott Aubin, 48, allegedly took the debit card of a woman he was formerly in a relationship with and withdrew about $3,900 from her bank account over a period of four to six weeks, said Plattsburgh City Police Lt. Scott Beebie.
The incidents occurred recently, Beebie said.
The victim lives in the City of Plattsburgh and the bank where Aubin allegedly took the money from is also located in the city, he said.
Aubin was arrested on Sandra Avenue, according to a City Police blotter entry.
He was charged with five counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, and five counts of petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
Aubin was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court, Beebie said.
He was sent to Clinton County Jail and posted $3,750 cash bail Wednesday, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
Beebie said City Police are continuing to investigate the incidents and it’s possible that additional charges could be filed.
