MORIAH — A man was charged with criminal possession of a weapon July 12.
Robert C. Cleveland, 61, formerly of Pomona Park, Fla., had been staying in his brother’s Moriah home, Lewis-based State Police said.
Cleveland owns several guns for which he did not have a New York state firearm’s permit, police said.
He was arrested at 286 Whitney St. in the Town of Moriah after police responded to the residence to assist his brother, who was insisting Cleveland leave from his house, police said.
Cleveland was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony.
He was arraigned in Moriah Town Court and released from law enforcement custody July 16, police said.
