ALTONA — An Altona woman was charged with three felonies Sunday.
Between July 1, 2013 and Aug. 25, 2013, Julie L. Powers, 48, unlawfully collected $1,839.50 in unemployment benefits while she was employed at SUNY Plattsburgh, according to a news release from State Police.
Powers was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, first-degree falsifying business records and first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, all felonies.
She is to appear in Altona Town Court at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The New York State Department of Labor assisted State Police in the investigation.
