CHESTERFIELD — A Keeseville woman was charged with weapon possession Oct. 26.
Through the window of her home, Brandy J. Strouse, 29, allegedly pointed a 50-caliber camouflage muzzleloader gun at a man and threatened to shoot him if he came closer to her, according to Plattsburgh-based State Police.
The man had gone to her residence because his 12-year-old son had been there earlier and had come home and told his father there was a fight at the residence, police said.
After Strouse pointed the gun at him, the man walked away without saying anything and reported the incident to police, telling them he had seen the gun at Strouse’s residence before, police said.
Strouse was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.
She was arraigned in Chesterfield Town Court and was sent to Essex County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
