ALTONA — An Ellenburg Depot man was charged with drunken driving and aggravated unlicensed operation following a car accident in which he was injured.
Wade J. Pecor, 31, was taken by Altona EMS to CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh after his green Ford F-150 left the roadway on Route 190 in the Town of Altona, side-swiped several trees, hit a utility pole and rolled over, coming to rest on its wheels, according to a news release from State Police.
The accident happened at about 3 a.m. Oct. 4, police said.
Pecor was transferred from CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh to Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt., for further treatment of facial cuts and a possible neck fracture, police said.
Police learned Pecor has two previous driving while intoxicated convictions and also learned his driving privileges had been revoked, the release said.
Police also found an active bench warrant for Pecor issued by Plattsburgh Town Court for failure to pay a fine, police said.
Pecor was charged with felony DWI and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony.
He was ticketed for failure to keep right, moving from a lane unsafely, driving without a license, driving on the shoulder and failure to affix a proper registration sticker.
Pecor was arraigned in Plattsburgh Town Court on Monday and was sent to Clinton County Jail without bail.
