TUPPER LAKE — Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident Sunday.
At about 3 p.m., a motorcycle operated by Joseph L. Sawyer, 52, of Muncy, Penn., was traveling westbound on State Route 30 near Dugal Road when Sawyer swerved to avoid striking a dog that entered the roadway, according to a State Police Troop B press release.
Sawyer’s vehicle struck another motorcycle driven by Jason E. Duquette, 42, of Morrisonville, who was traveling in the same direction as Sawyer.
Sawyer had injuries to his right leg, and his passenger, Paula M. Hill, 43, of Belmont, N.C., had injuries to her upper extremities. Both were transported to Adirondack Medical Center.
Duquette and his passenger, Kirsten Goldthorp, 38, of Quebec, complained of pain to their arms and hands but declined medical attention.
No tickets have been issued but the accident is still under investigation.
