PLATTSBURGH — A Schenectady woman was charged with drug possession Sept.15.
At about 2 p.m., State Police stopped a red Chevy TrailBlazer on Plaza Boulevard in the Town of Plattsburgh after the driver was seen using an electronic device, according to a news release from State Police.
The driver, Laurie A. Jimenez, 30, was driving with a suspended New York license and troopers found 73 hydrocodone pills and 2.5 grams of marijuana in her possession, police said.
Jimenez was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor; possessing a controlled substance outside its original container, a violation of the Public Health Law; unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation; and driving while using a portable electronic device, a violation.
She was arraigned in Plattsburgh Town Court and sent to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash or $6,000 bond.
