PLATTSBURGH — A second suspect in a recent burglary was arrested Thursday.
Nicholas Mackiewicz, 21, of Saratoga Springs turned himself in to Plattsburgh City Police and was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
Brandon Marshall, 23, of Morrisonville was arrested a week ago in connection with the same alleged burglary on 77 Brinkerhoff St.
Marshall was released from the Clinton County Jail by the court, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
Mackiewicz appears to be related to a resident of the multi-apartment building, Plattsburgh City Police Lt. Scott Beebie said.
Mackiewicz was allegedly involved in the theft of two televisions, clothing, tools, DVDs, video game consoles, an iPod and a laptop, he said.
The owners of the property reported the thefts to the owner of the building who reported the incident to police, Beebie said.
Mackiewicz was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court before Judge Rogers and was released in accordance with a pre-trail release program, Beebie said.
Further court action is pending.
