DANNEMORA — A New York woman was charged with introducing prison contraband and criminal possession of a controlled substance July 14.
Pamela C. Williams, 55, of St. Albans, N.Y. allegedly brought heroin, marijuana and Suboxone into Clinton Correctional Facility, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.
Williams was visiting an inmate there, police said.
She was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; first-degree introduction of dangerous prison contraband, a felony, and second-degree introduction of prison contraband, a misdemeanor.
Williams was arraigned in Beekmantown Town Court and is incarcerated at Clinton County Jail without bail due to previous convictions, police said.
She will reappear in Dannemora Village Court.
