PLATTSBURGH — A Saranac teen was reportedly injured in a one-car accident Saturday.
Plattsburgh-based State Police said Beth Anne Plumadore, 17, was traveling west on State Route 3 just east of the Goddeau Road in the Town of Plattsburgh at 3:05 p.m., when she swerved to avoid hitting a deer.
After swerving, Plumadore lost control of the vehicle and exited the north shoulder of the roadway, where she struck the end of a guardrail.
The momentum from hitting the guardrail, police said, caused the vehicle to overturn and strike a tree.
Plumadore’s vehicle came to rest on its roof against the tree.
A State-Police blotter entry regarding the incident indicated that one person was injured as a result of the accident; however, police were uncertain whether Plumadore was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Had she been transported, police said, it would have been to CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. Hospital officials said Sunday Plumadore was not being treated there.
