PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was arrested March 12 on robbery and other charges.
Marlon G. Dupee, 18, was allegedly illegally in a car located on Route 9 in the Town of Plattsburgh and when he was confronted by the owners of the vehicle, he pushed them down and ran away with stolen property, Plattsburgh-based State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Investigator Larry Cragle said.
The owners originally saw Dupee in their car from their house, Cragle said.
The property included some prescription medication, iPod headphones, a pack of cigarettes and sunglasses, he said.
Troopers found Dupee at his residence, the Sundance Motel, which Dupee had allegedly run to following the robbery, Cragle said.
He tried to flee out of the bathroom window and actively resisted the troopers when they were arresting him, Cragle said.
Dupee was charged with third-degree robbery, a felony; resisting arrest, a misdemeanor; seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a violation.
He was arraigned in Peru Town Court and was sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
Dupee is due in Plattsburgh Town Court on Thursday.
