ELIZABETHTOWN — A Keeseville man was charged with felony welfare fraud.
Robert Bartlett, 48, was charged with third-degree welfare fraud, a felony, according to a press release from the Essex County Department of Social Services Welfare Fraud Unit.
Bartlett allegedly failed to report his employment and wages to Social Services and, as a result, he received $4,902.11 in benefits to which he was not entitled, according to the release.
On Sunday, Bartlett was served a criminal summons by the Essex County Sheriff’s Department to appear in Elizabethtown Town Court on March 21 to face the charges.
